Such a lovely peach colour.
Flowers I bought for my mister.
He is all kinds of wonderful.

Tonight

Sold out show at Bohemia performing alongside Bella de Jac and Vesper White with the all so wonderful Madame Natalia!
Can’t wait! I’ve been slothing about all afternoon with the heater on!

My friends Playwrite
They are playing tomorrow night at Phoenix Public House in Brunswick.
I’d get there if you can.

today

I set my alarm 15 minutes earlier so I could wake up and snuggle with the mister.
Making time to simply stop and just be aware of how good things are is so important.

I’m going to spend the day conquering the rhythm test that I have tomorrow morning.
..It will be my bitch.

I’m really looking forward to three weekends from now where I’ll be performing at The Australian Burlesque Festival.

Monday night was the 2012 Melbourne Cabaret Festival Launch at Bohemia Cabaret Club and I genuinely felt like I had all I needed in life.
Lovely friends, a great glass of wine, completely surrounded by crazy cabaret types-my uber talented gentleman friend inclusive, and Bohemia Cabaret Club which only opened its doors this year and has already become a supportive hub for Melbourne burlesque. Oh and did I mention the motherfreaking rabbits!!? Magician Anthony Demasi and his two wonderfully tame and well behaved bunnies were there, cuteness overload.
Have a looksie at Melbourne Cabaret Festival’s new website and check out the 2012 program! Running from 12-21 July!

My Friday (Taken with instagram)

..

Today

  • Rhinestones are on the way for the creation of my costume for The Australian Burlesque Festival!
  • I now have internet at my new home!

Currently

  • I’m trying to decide if I will put my cabaret show that I am writing in the Melbourne Fringe Festival or instead do a short season later in November. I like the idea of the mentoring opportunities possibly available with fringe but not the $300+ fee.
  • I’m listening to Ella Fitzgerald croon ‘All The Things You Are’ for my improvisation class later this afternoon.
  • About to watch my good friend Playwrite’s new music video for their new single ‘Borderline’.

"

You are the promised kiss of springtime
That makes the lonely winter seem long.
You are the breathless hush of evening
That trembles on the brink of a lovely song.

You are the angel glow that lights a star,
The dearest things I know are what you are.

Some day my happy arms will hold you,
And some day I’ll know that moment divine,
When all the things you are, are mine!

"

“All The Things You Are”

My favourite recording - Ella Fitzgerald 1963 with Nelson Riddle and and his Orchestra.

Tumblr I haven’t forgotten you.
At the moment study has made me a very busy person.
I’m counting down two weeks.. two weeks.

AND today marks four weeks until The Australian Burlesque Festival!

Love this.

Hoping for something like this when I create my show.
